　　A market fire that occurred Sunday evening in Shanghai had claimed five lives and injured more than ten as of 3 a.m. Monday, said the local fire fighting authorities。

　　Ma Bing, a doctor with Changhai Hospital of Shanghai, which is treating eight of the injured, told Xinhua that three were burnt seriously.

　　Fire fighters have extinguished the blaze that broke out around 8:30 p.m. Sunday at a farm produce wholesale market in Pudong new district of Shanghai。

　　All injured people have been hospitalized, said the district's official microblog on the Twitter-like Sina Weibo。

　　Rescuers are still searching for the casualties at the fire site。

　　截至7日凌晨3时许，上海农产品中心批发市场火灾已造成5人死亡，另有多人受伤。

　　6日晚8时30分许，位于上海浦东新区沪南公路2000号的上海农产品中心批发市场发生火灾。

　　从消防部门得到的最新情况是，火灾已造成5人死亡，十余人受伤。

　　收治伤者的长海医院烧伤科副主任医师马兵介绍，目前长海医院收治了8人，其中3人重度烧伤，2人中度烧伤，2人轻度烧伤，1人轻度擦伤。重度烧伤中一位是57岁女性，烧伤面积达85%，有严重的吸入性损伤；还有一位9岁小女孩，烧伤面积达到48%，有严重的吸入性损伤。

　　火灾发生后，浦东新区立即组织现场抢险。上海市委、市政府主要领导要求全力救治伤员。

　　记者在火灾现场看到，目前火势已经扑灭，尚有烟雾。消防人员仍在逐户搜救。
